Band 7 Physiotherapist – Paediatrics (Neuro-Developmental)

The Rehabilitation Service is looking for an existing paediatric Band 6 looking for development to a Band 7 or a suitably experienced Band 7 paediatric Physiotherapist, to join our friendly integrated paediatric rehabilitation team. The post holder will carry a mixed community caseload of complex and non-complex children and will work with an assistant practitioner within a complex needs school. Children on the caseload will have a variety of conditions including cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, developmental delay and neuromuscular conditions, etc.

This work will be carried out in a variety of settings including out- patient clinics at the New Horsefair Clinic, Roxburgh Children’s Centre and within the community i.e. nurseries, mainstream schools, the child’s own home and Meadowgate Complex Needs School. The geographical areas covered by the service are West Norfolk and Fenland areas of Cambridgeshire.

The paediatric rehabilitation team is part of the integrated Rehabilitation Service with the Occupational Therapy and Wheelchair Services. We aim to provide a progressive, forward thinking approach to patient care whilst being able to support staff in personal development and continued education and training. The paediatric staff (Band 7’s and Band 8) have excellent clinical and teaching backgrounds and are able to build on your existing skills and knowledge.

We are keen to promote collaborative practice and to develop staff within a supportive and friendly environment. Staff benefits include on-site accommodation, staff gym, subsidised catering, pension scheme, use of pool cars for community visits, plus administration and secretarial support.
