Radiographer (Band 5)

This position is open to applications from current 3rd year radiography students.

The Radiology department was one of the first in the Eastern region to gain UKAS imaging Accreditation, and this post is an excellent opportunity for a Radiographer to join our friendly and hard-working team. It would suit someone who is looking to build on the knowledge and skills that they already possess, in a caring and supportive environment.

The successful candidate, will predominately be working in plain X-ray, imaging patients from A/E, wards, OP clinics and GP surgeries. You will need to be competent in mobile imaging, both in theatre and on the wards and also be able to undertake the occasional fluoroscopic procedure within the department.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will participate fully on the Out of Hours (OOH) rota.

You must hold or be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Radiography or equivalent qualification.

Ideally you should have full HCPC registration although the department would be prepared to support the right candidate through the process of achieving this.

We are looking for you to be willing to work with student radiographers in a supervisory capacity under the guidance of the Practice Educator.

Your CPD portfolio should  be up to date and you will need to be willing for us to undertake regular audits of this.
